Position: Laundress
Location: Brentwood TN
Schedule: MondayFriday 11:00 AM 4:00 PM (25 hours/week)
Compensation: $28/hour bonus structure

Start Date: ASAP - Ideally before their move in May

Overview:
A private family in Brentwood TN is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundress to join their household team. The family will be transitioning into a new home in mid-to-late May or early June and is looking to have the right candidate in place to support this move. This role will work alongside an established full-time Housekeeper and an Au Pair with a clear division of responsibilities this position will be fully focused on laundry and wardrobe care.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys laundry takes pride in meticulous organization and folding and demonstrates an exceptional work ethic. This is a wonderful opportunity for a candidate who finds satisfaction in maintaining pristine closets and delivering a high standard of garment care.

Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of all household laundry including washing drying folding and ironing
• Expert care of garments including hand washing and handling delicate fabrics
• Maintain impeccably organized closets and drawers
• Ensure laundry rooms (both upstairs and downstairs) are kept clean organized and fully functional
• Manage weekly linen changes including bed-making
• Monitor garment care needs and maintain awareness of special handling requirements
• Work collaboratively with the Housekeeper to ensure seamless household operations

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a laundress or similar role within a private home preferred
• Strong knowledge of fabric care laundering techniques and garment handling
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive self-motivated and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Must be comfortable working in a fragrance-free environment due to family sensitivities

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $28/hour
• Paid Time Off: 5 vacation days 2 personal days annually
• Paid Holidays: New Years Day Memorial Day Juneteenth Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day
• Anniversary Bonus: Provided upon completion of the first year and each subsequent year as a reflection of performance and dedication
