Position Summary
As a Corporate Tax Experienced Senior Associate you will manage end-to-end tax engagements lead compliance projects and provide critical support on ASC 740 income tax accounting initiatives. Youll work collaboratively with a talented team of tax professionals while developing leadership skills through mentoring and client engagement management. This permanent backfill position offers the opportunity to develop into a management role for the right candidate.
Must-Haves
Bachelors degree in Accounting
2-4 years of progressive corporate tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in a top 20 accounting firm
CPA certification or CPA eligibility required
Demonstrated expertise in ASC 740 tax provision work (end-to-end: preparation review and audit support)
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with minimum 3 days/week on-site presence
Willingness to travel as needed
Primary Functions
Lead and manage corporate tax engagements from initiation through completion including planning execution and budget management
Supervise train and mentor junior associates and interns; provide performance assessments and feedback
Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax returns and ASC 740 income tax provision engagements with increasing responsibility
Prepare and review ASC 740 income tax provisions end-to-end including preparation review and audit support
Research complex tax matters and provide consulting on various tax planning and compliance issues
Prepare corporate tax returns and utilize tax-specific software for return preparation and processing
Serve as primary point of contact for client inquiries and correspondence with IRS state and other tax authorities
Develop deep understanding of client operations business objectives and industry dynamics to provide strategic tax services
Maintain professional standards and strict confidentiality across all client engagements
Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs
Travel as needed to support client needs
Required Skills
Expertise in ASC 740 income tax provision work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency with tax-specific software for return preparation and processing
Experience managing client relationships and tax engagements from start to finish
Ability to supervise train and mentor junior staff
