Job Summary

Location: Cape Town Woodstock
Work model: Fully in-office (with some flexibility for the right person)
Salary: R45 000 R55 000 CTC

This Cape Town-based creative production studio is doing something genuinely exciting strategy creative production and post all under one roof. Theyre not a traditional ad agency but they think like one. Their work spans ads documentaries explainers brand films content series and social shorts and their biggest client is one of the worlds largest cruise lines. They care deeply about craft move fast and only hire people who genuinely give a sh*t about the work they make.

Theyre now looking for a MidSenior Conceptual Copywriter to join the team someone with strong agency roots whos ready to bring big-picture thinking into a production-led environment without the politics and hierarchy of big-agency life.


What the job involves...

  • Leading conceptual responses for video-led ideas branded content pitch decks and campaignable creative territories

  • Translating strategic and client briefs into clear compelling creative directions

  • Writing punchy video scripts campaign copy and well-structured creative rationales

  • Shaping tone of voice and narrative arc across all deliverables

  • Building and presenting Keynote pitch decks that take clients on a persuasive journey

  • Collaborating with Art Directors to develop strong visual narratives and campaign ideas

  • Acting as a sounding board for junior creatives helping shape and refine their thinking

  • Working closely with producers to align creative intent with budget and production realities

  • Communicating clearly constructively and without ego


What you need to be considered...

  • 58 years copywriting experience in an advertising agency this is non-negotiable

  • A portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking concept development and video-led ideas no portfolio no response

  • Well be looking for: scripts pitch decks campaign concepts and evidence of conceptual range not blog posts SEO copy or social media calendars

  • Proven ability to articulate creative rationale clearly and build structured pitch decks

  • Demonstrated experience scripting for animations edits and/or video shoots

  • Strong collaborative instincts this is a team that uplifts each other


Bonus points if you...

  • Have a solid understanding of brand strategy fundamentals

  • Have experience presenting directly to clients

  • Have a keen interest in generative creative technology
