Job Summary
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and interactive lessons in Economics for IB students ensuring comprehension of core concepts and theories.
- Develop tailored lesson plans and educational materials that align with the IB curriculum standards.
- Assess students performance through regular quizzes assignments and feedback adapting teaching methods as required.
- Provide support and guidance for students preparing for examination and assessments emphasizing effective study techniques.
- Enhance students critical thinking and analytical skills through discussion-based learning and real-world application of economic principles.
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative initiatives to improve the overall teaching experience at Pi Vector.
- Stay updated on IB curriculum changes and best teaching practices to maintain a high standard of education.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Economics or a related field. A Masters degree or higher is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the IB Economics curriculum and assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Proficient in using technology and teaching tools to enhance learning.
Desired Experience:
- Previous teaching experience in IB Economics or a related subject is highly desirable.
- Experience with international curriculums particularly the IB Cambridge or similar academic frameworks.
- Familiarity with tutoring students preparing for Olympiad examinations would be a plus.
