Key Responsibilities:
- Apply fundamental accounting principles to support financial reporting and analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity across systems
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies trends and improvement opportunities
- Prepare reports documentation and summaries for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting and business operations
- Troubleshoot issues related to financial data and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy
- Adapt to changing priorities and support ad hoc accounting projects as needed
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems
- Prior experience in a Higher Education or public sector environment
