Remote Should be willing to travel to Dallas TX

Role Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Designer / Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop
high-performance electronic systems and boards for next-generation adaptive compute
and communication platforms.
This role involves end-to-end hardware design from schematic development to board
bring-up ensuring optimal performance reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
1. System & Hardware Design
Design system architecture and hardware solutions for:
o SoC / FPGA-based platforms
o Embedded and high-performance compute systems
Develop schematics and select components (processors memory power
interfaces)
Define system-level requirements and specifications
2. Schematic Design & Component Selection
Create schematics using tools like:
o Cadence OrCAD / Allegro Mentor Graphics Altium
Select and validate components:
o CPUs/GPUs/FPGAs
o DDR memory PMICs clocks interfaces
Perform design calculations and simulations
3. High-Speed & Interface Design
Design for high-speed interfaces such as:
o DDR4/DDR5 PCIe Ethernet USB MIPI
Define constraints for:
o Signal integrity (SI)
o Timing and routing
Collaborate with PCB layout teams for implementation
4. Power & Thermal Design
Define power architecture (VRMs regulators sequencing)
Ensure compliance with:
o Power integrity (PI)
o Thermal requirements
Optimize for efficiency and reliability
5. Board Bring-up & Validation
Perform hardware bring-up and debugging
Validate designs using:
o Oscilloscopes logic analyzers power analyzers
Troubleshoot:
o Signal issues power failures boot problems
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
o PCB layout RF and mechanical teams
o Firmware/software teams for system bring-up
o Manufacturing and testing teams
Participate in design reviews and product lifecycle support
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education
/ in Electronics / Electrical / Communication Engineering
Experience
4 12 years in hardware/system design
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in:
o Schematic design and system architecture
o High-speed digital design fundamentals
Good understanding of:
o SI/PI concepts and PCB design constraints
o Power design basics (VRM regulators)
Experience with tools:
o Cadence OrCAD / Allegro Altium Mentor Graphics
Knowledge of:
o Embedded systems and SoC/FPGA platforms
Preferred Skills
Experience in:
o Adaptive compute / FPGA-based systems
Exposure to:
o AI/ML networking or automotive platforms
Knowledge of:
o EMI/EMC compliance and certification
o Thermal and mechanical considerations
Behavioral Competencies
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Ownership and accountability for design deliverables
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Effective communication and documentation skills
