Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client a recognised leader in cloud and digital innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Architecture & Deployment

• Deploy and manage Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environments on AWS using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Configure and scale Data Hubs Warehouses (Hive/Impala) and ML workspaces.
• Manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises and AWS via Direct Connect or VPN.

Performance Optimisation & Monitoring

• Optimise EC2 instance types for workload efficiency.
• Configure and fine-tune Amazon S3 as the primary data lake storage.
• Implement cost-control measures such as auto-scaling and spot instances.

Security & Governance

• Integrate Cloudera SDX with AWS IAM Okta or Active Directory.
• Ensure encryption at rest and in transit using AWS KMS and TLS/SSL.
• Maintain granular access policies with Apache Ranger and Atlas.

Operations & Maintenance

• Perform rolling upgrades of CDP components and patch EC2 instances.
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex performance issues involving YARN Spark or AWS networking.
• Design and execute backup and recovery strategies for Cloudera Manager databases and metadata.

Job Requirements:

• Professional certifications such as Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) or AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate/Professional are preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing large-scale distributed systems.
• Demonstrated success in migrating on-premise Hadoop workloads to Cloudera on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of the Cloudera stack including CDP Public/Private Cloud Cloudera Manager SDX Ranger and Atlas.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2 S3 VPC IAM EKS Route53 CloudWatch and KMS.
• Hands-on expertise with data engines including Apache Spark Hive LLAP Impala and NiFi (Cloudera DataFlow).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools such as Terraform Ansible Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or Scala.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Jakarta area.
