Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Field Support Staff member to join our team. This key role will provide on-the-ground support across our 7 sites ensuring quality standards are maintained and operational challenges such as staff-to-child ratios are effectively managed. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about childcare and early education who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance:
- Support nursery managers and teams to uphold the highest quality standards in care and education.
- Provide feedback and guidance to staff to enhance learning environments and daily practices.
- Ratio Support:
- Assist with staff coverage to ensure compliance with staff-to-child ratios at all sites.
- Step into rooms to support teams during peak times absences or emergencies.
- Operational Support:
- Work closely with managers to address immediate operational needs.
- Act as a liaison between nurseries and the central team communicating challenges and solutions effectively.
- Training and Development:
- Mentor staff to improve practices and maintain consistency across all sites.
- Assist with the onboarding of new team members ensuring they integrate smoothly into their roles.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Monitor and uphold all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Address any compliance issues proactively to maintain a safe and secure environment.
What Were Looking For:
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior childcare role such as Deputy Manager Manager or Area Support.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
- A proactive problem-solver who can adapt to different settings and challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- Flexibility to travel between sites and work across different locations as needed.
