The Home Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight leadership and operational management of a licensed child and youth care home under Restore Child & Youth Care Inc. This role ensures high-quality care staff accountability compliance with licensing and agency standards and a safe supportive environment for children and youth. The Home Supervisor is actively present in the home providing hands-on support and supervision to staff and children.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision (On the Floor)
Actively present in the home during shifts providing real-time supervision and guidance to Child & Youth Care Workers.
Observe staff interactions with children to ensure adherence to care plans and agency standards.
Provide immediate feedback coaching and corrective direction as needed.
Engage directly with children and youth to model positive trauma-informed interactions.
Address staff compliance issues and report policy breaches.
Program Safety & Care Oversight
Ensure individualized care plans are implemented.
Maintain a structured trauma-informed and safe environment.
Complete regular on-site safety inspections to meet licensing requirements.
Identify document and address safety concerns promptly.
Respond directly to incidents emergencies and crises as they occur
On-Call & Emergency Coverage
Participate in on-call rotation.
Provide emergency coverage as needed.
Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational needs
Compliance & Administration
Ensure compliance with licensing standards and legislation.
Ensure required training and documentation are current.
Participate in inspections audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in a Human Servicesrelated field.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Reliable access to a vehicle.
Proof of $2 million liability insurance.
Completion of required training.
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
