Senior Software Engineer (C, C++)

Job Summary

The ONTAP Security team is dedicated to developing and maintaining robust security solutions that protect our customers data. We focus on implementing and enhancing security protocols and technologies to ensure the integrity confidentiality and availability of data stored in ONTAP. As a Senior Engineer you will be part of a high-performance team responsible for designing developing and testing security features. You will also mentor and coach junior engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

An ideal candidate for this position will be driven to produce results collaborative curious and creative. You will strive to excel in your day-to-day work and will continue to produce high-quality results without requiring constant supervision. You will bring broad experience across multiple domains including systems networking and security shaping system architectures that balance performance concurrency reliability and longterm maintainability.

Job Requirements

• Excellent coding skills in C/C
• Strong understanding of computer architecture data structures and OS fundamentals.
• Experience in designing highperformance data paths with careful handling of concurrency crash consistency lock contention and parallel packet processing.
• Engage with customers on escalations and ensure continuous improvement in all areas under your technical purview.
• Experience with security technologies such as TLS Kerberos and IPsec is a plus.
• Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects.
• Work on multiple tasks and responsibilities that contribute towards team department and company goals.
• Enforce best practices for software design and development through appropriate reviews.
• Stay updated with new technologies and apply creative ideas to solve problems.
• Coding and execution of projects.
• Technical design and architecture.
• Test automation and debugging using Python.
• Performance analysis and optimization.
• Running Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Research & Development (R&D) activities.
• Critical and/or high visibility customer support
