Job Summary
The Long Term Care Manager provides leadership and oversight for resident care services at Trinity Homes supporting the health safety and overall well-being of residents through high-quality person-centered care. This role manages daily clinical operations supervises nursing staff and works closely with interdisciplinary partners to maintain regulatory compliance and support positive resident outcomes. As part of a collaborative care leadership team the manager promotes effective communication responsible resource utilization and a supportive work environment. Through continuous improvement efforts and consistent leadership presence the position strengthens care delivery staff engagement and operational performance within the long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate daily resident care services to ensure safe compassionate and resident focused care in alignment with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise nursing staff by providing coaching performance feedback and guidance to maintain a positive accountable and collaborative work environment.
- Support staffing scheduling and workload management to ensure adequate coverage and safe care delivery across assigned units.
- Collaborate with nursing supervisors and serve as charge nurse when needed to support clinical operations and respond to resident needs.
- Monitor quality indicators resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance implementing improvements to enhance care outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- Promote continuous improvement by applying lean principles and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to streamline processes and address operational challenges.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Current RN licensure in ND or compact RN licensure.
- CPR certified.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as evidenced by licensure.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous nursing home experience preferred not required.
Special Skills or Training Requirements:
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
The Long Term Care Manager frequently walks stands and moves throughout resident care areas to oversee operations and support staff. The role may involve assisting with resident positioning mobility or basic care activities and requires occasional lifting bending and reaching. Adequate vision hearing and communication abilities are essential for evaluating resident needs coordinating care and responding to emergent situations.
Environmental Requirements:
This position works in a long term care setting with regular exposure to resident living areas medical equipment and potential contact with bodily fluids or infectious conditions. The environment may involve high activity levels behavioral variations among residents and emotionally sensitive situations. The Long Term Care Manager must follow all safety PPE and infection prevention protocols and may move between different household or unit areas within Trinity Homes.
