Senior Consultant Software Asset Management Digital Risk
The opportunity
As our Senior Consultant Software Asset Management within the Digital Risk team you will play a key role in helping organisations understand manage and optimise their software asset and licencing risk. You will work with a broad range of clients to deliver Software Asset Management and Software Licencing engagements across advisory compliance and managed service offerings supporting improved governance cost control and risk outcomes.
You will be part of a collaborative and growing team supporting clients across complex IT environments helping them navigate software licencing models contractual obligations and regulatory expectations. This role offers exposure to a wide range of industries and technologies with opportunities to contribute to SAM maturity uplift transformation initiatives and executive-level decision making.
This is a hybrid position based in Warrang - Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver Software Asset Management and software licencing engagements across advisory compliance and managed service offerings supporting clients to manage licencing financial and operational risk.
- Execute software licence compliance assessments across major software publishers including entitlement analysis deployment reconciliation and Effective Licence Position development across complex IT environments.
- Design assess and uplift ITAM and SAM processes policies standards governance frameworks and operating models supporting SAM maturity improvements and transformation initiatives.
- Manage engagement delivery end to end including planning coordination across workstreams risk and issue management collaboration with IT procurement vendor management and finance teams and delivery of highquality executivelevel reporting and insights.
Skills and attributes for success
- Demonstrated experience in Software Asset Management IT Asset Management software licencing IT risk or a related advisory or assurance role.
- Strong understanding of software licencing concepts compliance risk and governance with the ability to apply this across complex IT environments.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with senior client stakeholders and crossfunctional teams.
- Strong analytical written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear practical insights.

- Experience delivering software licence compliance assessments SAM maturity reviews or supporting SAM transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to major software publishers and their licencing models contracts and metrics.
- Handson experience working with ITAM and SAM tools to support reporting data quality and compliance outcomes.
- A proactive curious mindset with a structured approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
