Job Summary

Job Title: Process Engineer - Membrane Technology

Our global System Engineering organization is expanding and is now looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Pune India. You will become part of a global engineering organization working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and specialists based in Silkeborg Denmark.

The Silkeborg site is a key competence hub for SPX FLOW combining R&D innovation and strong process expertise. The site features Innovation Center facilities for customer testing and validation as well as workshop facilities for building specialized process systems. Through close crosssite collaboration global engineering teams continuously develop and improve our solutions for the Food & Beverage market.

This position supports the continued expansion of our European Membrane Technology team working alongside other Process Engineers specialized in membrane solutions. You will report to an Engineering Manager based in Silkeborg Denmark.

The Membrane Process Engineer is a key knowledge-based contributor and plays a central role in cross-functional collaboration across the global engineering organization.

During project execution the Process Engineer supports a wide range of functions including Automation Mechanical Engineering Documentation Supply Chain Assembly Commissioning Project Management and Aftermarket. The role ensures strong technical alignment throughout the entire project lifecycle from initial design and execution through customer acceptance and final project closure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and development of membrane systems and membranerelated process scope including system configuration and performance criteria in accordance with standard engineering practices internal references and customer requirements.
  • Selection sizing and configuration of membrane systems and key process components to ensure optimal performance reliability and operability.

  • Preparation of complete P&ID packages and item lists ensuring overall plant coherence clearly defined system boundaries and wellmanaged interfaces with adjacent systems.
  • Document membrane system designs through detailed P&IDs and membranespecific process calculations including flow balance pressure drop flux and recovery.
  • Adhere to SPX FLOW procedures and applicable engineering tools and design standards throughout the process design and system development activities.
  • Participate in and support applicable technical and project reviews in line with SPX FLOW procedures and customer contractual requirements.
  • Maintain consistent and highquality technical designs throughout the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning and customer acceptance.
  • Support effective knowledge capture and troubleshooting activities working in close collaboration with global engineering teams subject matter experts (SMEs) and sales during both sales and execution phases.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including operating instructions O&M manuals with spare parts lists and required technical documentation ensuring structured storage and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Take ownership of the completeness and consistency of engineering deliverables.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Process Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience with process system design sizing or configuration of membrane systems
  • Hands-on experience with membrane technologies (e.g. UF MF NF RO) within Food & Beverage or related process industries is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for P&ID development and preparation of process documentation.
  • Experience working with process design and project execution in a crossfunctional international environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is primarily an officebased role with a significant amount of time spent working at a computer.

Occasional travel to other SPX locations and customer sites is required with expected global travel of up to approximately 20% of the time.
