About the Opportunity

An opportunity with a leading global semiconductor manufacturer operating a major manufacturing site in Samut Prakan. Our client is investing in a stable high-performing IT and network environment to support 24x7 operations and is looking for an experienced network engineer to play a key role in that work.

Role Overview

This is a senior engineering role responsible for supporting and managing network infrastructure and IT operations within the organisation. The position is critical to ensuring stable and efficient network performance and to supporting business operations through reliable IT services.

As an individual contributor you will provide strong technical support across network administration structured cabling and incident management. The role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting escalation handling and coordination with both internal teams and external vendors.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure network readiness support ongoing operations and contribute to project delivery. Maintaining proper documentation and ensuring compliance with IT standards are also key aspects of this role. Success in the role depends on understanding operational requirements delivering timely solutions and managing multiple tasks effectively.

Main Responsibilities

• Daily technical support and administration of network equipment asset management resolution of incident tickets and change requests.
• Provide 24x7 response and 2nd tier technical support including analysis escalation and resolution for reported incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance and performance tuning across the network.
• Liaise with cabling contractors to support passive cabling requirements and inspect upon job completion.
• Document network infrastructure using the FNT documentation tool.
• Provide project support for network work packages and lead local projects to ensure delivery on time within scope and within budget.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Computer Science Information Technology Electrical Engineering or similar).
• 35 years of direct hands-on experience in network infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and proven experience coordinating with cabling vendors.
• Proficient in network configuration; able to implement network designs based on standard designs without guidance.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate / Professional (CCNA / CCNP) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working in a 24x7 environment with on-call expectations.
