The Human Resources Generalist for the Cat Digital Division plays a critical role in supporting our Data & AI Applications and Platform Engineering teams as we continue to scale and evolve. Reporting to the HR Manager this role partners closely with leaders and employees to deliver core HR services support talent and organizational initiatives and foster an inclusive highperformance culture.
The HR Generalist will also collaborate and interact with Cat Digital team members across the globe supporting a diverse and geographically distributed workforce. As Cat Digital grows our people remain at the center of our successdriving innovation enabling transformation and positioning Caterpillar to lead the industry forward for the next 100 years. This role helps ensure our teams are supported engaged and empowered to do their best work.
The HR Generalist provides direction and support to business units in the areas of staffing employee development employee counseling training and performance management.
What You Will Do:
- Making recommendations to senior management on issues concerning employees recruiting turnover or training.
- Administering compensation programs; monitoring performance evaluation programs and revising as necessary.
- Handling employee relations issues outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Conducting organizational effectiveness assessments and recommending programs to address issues.
What You Will Have:
- Education: Bachelors degree preferred
- Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organizations vision structure culture philosophy operating principles values and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
- Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
- HR: Policies Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organizations and industrys standards procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Previous experience in engineering/technology industries
- Previous experience with immigration and global mobility

Summary Pay Range:
$97530.00 - $146290.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
