The Opportunity

The Department of Security Studies and International Affairs in the College of Arts & Sciences seeks an adjunct (part-time) faculty member to teachThe Modern Middle East in World Affairs at the Daytona Beach Florida campus.

Course Description:
This course offers a historical examination of the land societies cultures economics and politics of the Middle East from World War I to the present. It explores the complex interplay of religious social political and international forces that have shaped the regions development and political landscape over the past century.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with course syllabus.
  • Prepare and grade assignments quizzes and exams.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Hold regular office hours to support student learning.
  • Collaborate with department faculty and staff to ensure course quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in the discipline they intend to teach.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
