Facility Engineer

Job Summary
The Facility Engineer will play a critical role in the successful stand-up and operation of the facility maintenance program. This position is responsible for overseeing technical execution supporting maintenance operations coordinating vendors and ensuring alignment with client expectations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is expected to contribute not only to site success but also to the development and expansion of Allegiances broader Facility Management platform as the business grows.
Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Operations
Serve as the technical lead for facility maintenance operations across building systems utilities and infrastructure
Support the daily site operations and decision-making
Provide troubleshooting support and guidance for complex maintenance issues
Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance programs and work order management Maintenance
Execution & Reliability
Oversee maintenance technicians and ensure quality and consistency of work performed Monitor system performance and identify recurring issues or reliability risks
Support development and optimization of preventive maintenance strategies
Assist in planning and coordination of facility repairs and improvements Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with site safety requirements and Allegiance safety standards
Support implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) permitting and safe work practices
Participate in safety observations audits and incident review processes
Vendor Coordination
Coordinate third-party vendors for specialized services and repairs
Assist in reviewing scopes of work and ensuring alignment with facility needs
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with safety and site requirements
Client & Site Collaboration
Work closely with client engineering maintenance and operations teams
Support communication of maintenance activities issues and priorities
Assist in monthly operational reviews and contribute to quarterly business reviews (QBRs) Continuous Improvement & Program Development
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring maintenance issues
Identify opportunities for operational improvement and increased efficiency
Assist in developing standardized processes and best practices for Allegiances FM program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the following:

Preventive maintenance completion rate (target > 95%)

Maintenance backlog management

Support of cost-effective service delivery
Client Support & Engagement
Responsiveness and collaboration with client stakeholders
Contribution to operational reviews and site communication
Support of overall client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Facilities Engineering Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
- 5-7 years of experience in facilities utilities maintenance engineering or industrial project engineering.
- Strong project management skills including scope cost and timeline management.
- Knowledge of facility infrastructure systems (HVAC electrical distribution compressed air boilers water systems).
- Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings schematics and P&IDs.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems and standard engineering tools.
