Data Scientist

Position Overview:
Peraton is seeking an experiencedData Scientistto research design and implement advanced data analytics solutions to meet mission-critical objectives. The role requires an innovative mindset to optimize intelligence operations by gathering requirements developing actionable algorithms and providing enterprise-level analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement algorithms for pattern recognition OPSEC automation and intelligence data analysis.
• Develop visualization tools and reports to enable mission owners to extract actionable insights.
• Build APIs and pipelines to operationalize algorithms within enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with teams to align requirements and milestones with broader development efforts.
• Conduct advanced analytics using Apache Hadoop SAS and Tableau.
• Develop machine learning algorithms for pattern detection and opportunity identification on operational data.
• Present key findings through data visualization platforms like Tableau PowerBI Grafana or Kibana.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in an area relevant to the position with 8 years of relevant experience or Masters degree in an area relevant to the position with 6 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• ActiveTS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
• Advanced knowledge of data science toolkits such as Apache Hadoop and SAS.
• Proficiency in Python R C SQL and visualization technologies.
• Experience with intelligence data (e.g. telemetry) machine learning and advanced analytics.
• Strong problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
