You provide software and application knowledge to support implementation of the given solutions.
How you will contribute
You will ensure that delivered services are optimized to meet business demands and the service operations strategy plan measure report and communicate service improvement initiatives and serve as a consultant on issues and resolutions. You will also recommend actions that can be taken to optimize investments and benefits and to mitigate risks. This role will require you to identify suppliers evaluate them on-board new vendors establish and run vendor governance; collaborate with management and follow-up on requisitions purchase orders invoices and payments; work with project resources to provide design collateral and to configure software components so they are aligned with security policy and governance; and ensure adherence to development and configuration standards and processes.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidatewill have experience insoftwareconfigurationor digitalapplicationdevelopment & implementationin support of Research and Developmentinfood consumer goods orpharmaceuticalsfor systems includingProduct Lifecycle Management(PLM) Electronic Lab Notebooks(ELN)GlobalLaboratory Information System(GLIMS)orManufacturing Execution Systems(MES)or SAP.As a ConfigurationEngineer you will play a critical role in designing building testing and deployingsoftware in support of foodscientists process engineers packaging engineerschemistsand pilot plant staff.
Responsibilities:
Ability to independentlydeliver:
Configuration & Implementation:
Developexpertisein base software and existing configurations
Partner with software customers to understand document and align businessneeds
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Execute the configurationwithin the softwarebased on business requirements and solution design.
Develop anddrivethe execution of User Acceptance Testing and resolve issues
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues during testing and deployment.
Ensure adherence to best practicesand standardization
Build reportsdashboardsformscalculations visuals notebooksinputsand outputs within the tool
Own access and license management/approval within your area
Leverage APIsto pull data into and out ofsoftware tointegrate with upstream and downstream processes (Cloud servicesData BricksPower BI etc.)
Leadership & Management:
Provide guidance and mentorship/trainingto junior configuration consultants.
Communicate effectively& independentlywith stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Identifyand mitigate risks related to configuration.
Documentation & Training:
Create andmaintaincomprehensive documentationfor anydesign specifications configuration guides and test scripts.
Partner with the team to developtraining for the new functionality
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure team members are proficient
Perform training and onboarding sessions for software & project
Continuous Improvement:
Stayup-to-datewith the latestsoftwarereleases and features.
Identifyopportunities to improve configuration processes and methodologies.
Contribute to the development of reusable configuration components and templates.
Experience& Qualification:
Experience:
6 years oftotalcombinedexperiencewithinin thefollowingareas:
Software configurationorsoftwareengineering
FoodPharma orConsumer goodsproductdevelopment packaging development analyticalchemistryorprocessengineering
Data Science or Data Analytics
Specification Management
Proventrack recordof successfully implementing/deploying digital toolsin complexResearch and Developmentbusiness environments.
Experience with Python Scripting for automation and processing of structured data files
Experience with flat-file transfer protocols (SFTP) and RESTful API services
Skills:
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent documentation skills.
Ability tolearn newskills
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems Information TechnologyData ScienceData AnalyticsFood ScienceEngineeringChemistryPhysics Biology Supply Chain Managementor related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reportingand/or statisticaltools (e.g. Tableau Power BI JMP Minitab).
Experience withDataBricksor Amazon Cloud Services
Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
Experience using AI
