Performance Management (PfM) Analyst

Job Summary
ALEX is seeking a Military Performance Management (PfM) Analyst with an operational background to support the U.S. Marine Corps. The analyst will join a high-performing team aligned with the Marine Air-Ground Task Force and serve as the primary PfM analyst for Command Element (CE) issues. This role executes enterprise-level data exploitation using traditional and advanced technology-enabled analytics to provide timely decision-quality products to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large complex datasets to identify performance trends and insights.
- Develop clear visualizations reports and briefing materials for senior leaders.
- Support daily weekly monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Produce written and oral products that meet strict standards for accuracy timeliness and completeness.
- Lead or facilitate working groups and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Interface routinely with TECOM offices government analytics teams and ALEX data science personnel.
- Leverage approved AI/ML and advanced analytical tools to enhance decision support.
- Participate in routine meetings and occasional briefings; infrequent CONUS travel may be required.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Former U.S. Marine Corps service (any MOS).
- MAGTF Command Element staff experience.
- Experience integrating information capabilities satellite communications and multi-domain operations in planning processes.
- Working knowledge of intelligence collection management.
- Understanding of CBRN-E threats impacting Command Elements.
- Joint Task Force MEU/MEB/MEF TECOM or HQMC staff experience.
- Familiarity with TECOM SharePoint sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 years of DoD military experience with progressive leadership and management responsibility.
- Senior staff or major command-level experience.
- Demonstrated performance management experience in the DoD and/or private sector.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience operating on SIPRNet.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise including complex formulas pivot tables macros/VBA automation and data visualization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint SharePoint and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with Department of Navy databases and analytical platforms.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelors degree.
- Secret Clearance required.
