Job Title: Student Outcomes & Equity Support Specialist

Job Goal:
Education Service Center Region 6 is seeking a passionate and skilled Education Specialist to support school districts in improving student outcomes with a focus on traditionally under-resourced student populations. This role partners directly with educators campus leaders and district teams to implement high-impact instructional practices build capacity and drive sustainable improvement.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who brings expertise in research based instructional strategies data-driven decision-making and equity-focused practices.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in education or a related field
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Minimum of 35 years of successful classroom teaching experience
Experience in instructional coaching curriculum development or campus/district leadership
Demonstrated experience improving student outcomes for diverse or under-resourced student populations
Strong understanding of instructional best practices and data-driven instruction
Preferred:
Masters degree in education leadership or related field
Knowledge of MTSS RTI culturally responsive practices and/or school improvement frameworks
Experience working with multiple campuses or districts
Key Responsibilities
Provide coaching and technical assistance to educators and district leaders to improve instructional effectiveness and student achievement in under-resourced student groups
Support the design and implementation of evidence-based strategies that address the needs of traditionally under-resourced student groups
Analyze student performance data with districts to identify gaps and inform targeted interventions
Develop and deliver professional learning sessions workshops and resources aligned to district and state priorities
Facilitate continuous improvement processes including goal setting progress monitoring and evaluation of outcomes
Collaborate with ESC 6 teams to align services maximize impact and improve student outcomes
Stay current on best practices in instruction equity and student support systems
Travel within the ESC Region 6 service area to support districts as needed
