Job Title: Student Outcomes & Equity Support Specialist
Part-time or Full-time
Job Goal:
Education Service Center Region 6 is seeking a passionate and skilled Education Specialist to support school districts in improving student outcomes with a focus on traditionally under-resourced student populations. This role partners directly with educators campus leaders and district teams to implement high-impact instructional practices build capacity and drive sustainable improvement.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who brings expertise in research based instructional strategies data-driven decision-making and equity-focused practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in education or a related field
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Minimum of 35 years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Experience in instructional coaching curriculum development or campus/district leadership
- Demonstrated experience improving student outcomes for diverse or under-resourced student populations
- Strong understanding of instructional best practices and data-driven instruction
Preferred:
- Masters degree in education leadership or related field
- Knowledge of MTSS RTI culturally responsive practices and/or school improvement frameworks
- Experience working with multiple campuses or districts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to educators and district leaders to improve instructional effectiveness and student achievement in under-resourced student groups
- Support the design and implementation of evidence-based strategies that address the needs of traditionally under-resourced student groups
- Analyze student performance data with districts to identify gaps and inform targeted interventions
- Develop and deliver professional learning sessions workshops and resources aligned to district and state priorities
- Facilitate continuous improvement processes including goal setting progress monitoring and evaluation of outcomes
- Collaborate with ESC 6 teams to align services maximize impact and improve student outcomes
- Stay current on best practices in instruction equity and student support systems
- Travel within the ESC Region 6 service area to support districts as needed
