Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Hackensack NJ 07601
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks with possibility of extension)

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift (8:30 AM 5:00 PM)
• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating (every couple of months)
• Holidays: Not required
• On-Call: Not required

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in a dedicated breast care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both screening and diagnostic mammography and will assist with advanced procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with established guidelines
• Assist with breast procedures including ultrasound-guided exams stereotactic biopsy and needle localization
• Prepare and position patients ensuring comfort and proper imaging techniques
• Operate mammography equipment and select appropriate technical factors
• Maintain accurate patient records documentation and image labeling
• Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities in compliance with ACR MQSA FDA and state regulations
• Provide patient education including pre- and post-procedure instructions and breast self-exam guidance
• Support tracking follow-up and reporting of breast imaging and biopsy cases
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Experience in a breast center or similar specialized setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a clinical environment

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AMA approved)

Certifications & Licensure:

• ARRT certification required
• Active Diagnostic Radiography License required
• Mammography certification required (or must be obtained within 3 months of employment)
