AerialCable Technician

As a Cable/Aerial Technician you will be responsible for pulling testing and terminating CAT5e/6a and or Fiber Optic cabling installing cable support structures as well as various kinds of A/V security and/or DAS devices on a commercial construction site.

• Be responsible for pulling testing and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site
• Install various kinds of devices such as speakers projectors displays WAPs card readers
• access control devices (strikes locks or crash bars) transmitters receivers and DAS equipment.
• Attend mandatory safety meetings as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards.
• Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction
• Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation
• Adhere to company policies and established procedures

• Physical Stamina: The role requires lifting 50115 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Comfort with Heights: Technicians must work confidently from ladders scaffolding scissor lifts and cranes at heights up to 135 feet.
• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of electrical circuits DMX wiring and CAD drawings (lighting plots) is essential for correct installation.
• HID / HPS Knowledge:Proficient with HID / HPS work and LED conversion options.
• Electrical:Must understand and be able to troubleshoot voltages ranging from 12V DC to 480V AC
• Tooling:Must have basic tools for aerial work including but not limited to voltage meters hand tools electrical insulated tools and levels.
• 6-months experience as a commercial low-voltage technician
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have their own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
• Pass a background check and drug test
• Be able to work day shifts nights or weekends if needed
