As a Cable/Aerial Technician you will be responsible for pulling testing and terminating CAT5e/6a and or Fiber Optic cabling installing cable support structures as well as various kinds of A/V security and/or DAS devices on a commercial construction site.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for pulling testing and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site
Install various kinds of devices such as speakers projectors displays WAPs card readers
access control devices (strikes locks or crash bars) transmitters receivers and DAS equipment.
Attend mandatory safety meetings as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards.
Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction
Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation
Adhere to company policies and established procedures
Qualifications
Physical Stamina: The role requires lifting 50115 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
Comfort with Heights: Technicians must work confidently from ladders scaffolding scissor lifts and cranes at heights up to 135 feet.
Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of electrical circuits DMX wiring and CAD drawings (lighting plots) is essential for correct installation.
HID / HPS Knowledge:Proficient with HID / HPS work and LED conversion options.
Electrical:Must understand and be able to troubleshoot voltages ranging from 12V DC to 480V AC
Tooling:Must have basic tools for aerial work including but not limited to voltage meters hand tools electrical insulated tools and levels.
6-months experience as a commercial low-voltage technician
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Have their own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
Pass a background check and drug test
Be able to work day shifts nights or weekends if needed
