Summary of Position

Knudtsen Foothills ABRABody Shop Porter & Parts Inventory Assistant plays a key support role in the daily operations of Knudsten Foothills ABRA. This hybrid position is primarily responsible formaintainingshop cleanlinesswashingand preparing vehicles andassistingtechnicians and staff with general shop tasks. A smaller but importantportionof the role involves supporting the parts department bychecking inincoming parts verifying accuracy and quality and organizing parts for efficient workflow.

This position is ideal for someone who isdetailoriented dependable and comfortable working in afastpacedautomotive environment. While prior experience is helpful we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Body Shop Porter Duties

  • Wash vacuum and detail customer vehicles before and after repairs

  • This includeswashing and detailingthe interior and exterior of vehicles including under-hood inspection and clean-up clean door and trunk jams windows and wheels cleaned and truck beds rinsed out etc.

  • Thoroughly check that all blends are properly buffed

  • Confirm all lights and blinkers work correctly

  • Deliver vehicles for work to be completed by outside vendors and retrieve when completed

  • May pickup fromor deliver parts to outside vendors.

  • Assistwith customer vehicledropoffandpickupwhenrequired

  • Effectively communicate with techs on what was done

  • Move vehicles in and out of the shop parking areas and staging zones

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop bays andcommon areas

  • Empty trash sweep floors andassistwith general facility upkeep

  • Support technicians by delivering tools supplies or materials as needed

  • Perform basic lot organization including parking and tagging vehicles

Parts Inventory Assistant Duties

  • Receive and check in incoming parts deliveries

  • Verify part numbers quantities and accuracy against repair orders

  • Inspect parts for damage defects or quality issues

  • Label store and organize parts in designated areas

  • Communicate discrepancies or damaged parts to theEstimator.

  • Assistwithmaintaininga clean and organized parts storage area

  • Help track parts status and ensure technicians receive correct components

Qualifications

  • A team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.

  • Previousexperience in aBody Shopenvironment is desired.

  • Able to stand or walk on hard surfaces for the majority ofshiftin all types of weather while exposed to elevated noise vibration and be able tostoop bend and twiston a daily basis.

  • Ability to perform in a physical position (please reviewphysicalrequirements below).

  • Able to safelyoperatea wide variety of cars trucks SUVs and vans including both automatic and manual transmissions.

  • Strong attention to detail especially when verifying parts

  • Have a valid drivers license.

  • Pass a motor vehicle report andpossessa safe driving record.

  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.

  • Also subject to random drug testing reasonablesuspiciondrug and alcohol testing and post-accident testingat the companys request.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work standing upwalkusehands and fingers to operate tools and equipment andspeakandlisten both over the phone and in person to customers and fellow employeesin order toperform the above listed duties. The employeefrequentlyis required toreach with hands and arms and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employeeis occasionally required towork in a seated position climb orbalanceand taste or smell. The employee must regularly liftand/or move up to 50 poundsfrequentlylift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus.

This position is primarily a shop basedhands onrole that will require computer work attention todetailand physical Members regularlyworks45-50 hoursper performing the duties of this job the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. Frequently exposed toriskof electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions outside weather conditions and pacedworking environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
