Position Summary:
The System Verification Engineer 1 is responsible for assisting in the verification of system-level designs to ensure they meet specified requirements and performance standards. This role involves working closely with design engineers developing and driving test plans and analyzing test results to identify and resolve issues. The engineer will use various verification tools and methodologies to ensure the reliability and functionality of the system.
Responsibilities:
Verification Planning and Execution:
- Assist in developing verification plans protocols and reports.
- Drive verification protocols under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. FDA ISO 13485).
Test Development:
- Assist in designing and developing test cases and procedures based on system requirements and design specifications.
- Support the implementation of automated testing to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and organize test data.
- Assist in analyzing test data and reporting on verification results.
- Document defects or non-conformances and assist with root cause investigations
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design firmware and software engineers.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from senior verification engineers.
- Report verification progress and issues to senior team members.
Documentation:
- Assist in maintaining documentation of all verification activities and results.
- Ensure traceability of verification activities to requirements and risk management documentation.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Biomedical Electrical Mechanical Software or related field).
Experience
- 0 years of experience in system verification or a related field.
- Awareness regulatory standards and guidelines relevant to medical devices.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
- Knowledge of verification and testing tools a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Mixture of office and laboratory work
- Infrequent light lifting (<10kg)
- Potential infrequent travel (1-2 times per year)
