Job Summary
The StFX University Faculty of Education in partnership with StFX Online Learning & Professional Studies invites applications for a Part-time Academic Instructor for the following course:
Course Number and Title: Education 534: Introduction to the Foundations of Education combined Inclusive Education (Curriculum and Instruction) Concentration/Open (Administration and Policy/Curriculum and Instruction)
Course Description:In this course students are asked to critically examine their own practice and its context. Issues of power and privilege as they operate in the field of education are central unifying themes of the course. The investigative approach includes ethical reasoning autobiographical reflection arts/aesthetics deconstruction and sociological analysis
Start and End Dates: July 6 to July 16 2026
Class Schedule:
- Classes are three days a week for two weeks: July 6 8 and 10 and July 13 14 and 16
- Times: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (Atlantic time)
Delivery Mode: On site StFX University campus Antigonish Nova Scotia; accommodation available
Qualifications:Candidates should have a PhD or MEd with significant experience in the course area. The committee will begin consideration of applicants on May 10 2026
