What You Will Do:
The DoD Budget Program Analyst will join Guidehouse to support a mission sustainment organization within the this role the DoD Budget Program Analyst will drive financial planning and execution focused on roles including but not limited to budget formulation program management and financial analysis. The candidate will have experience supporting budget planning and administration and programming and financial management documentation.
Day to day responsibilities may include:
Assist with coordination preparation planning and justification of the annual budget cycle to include schedules briefings and meetings. Prepare for dedicated organization funding in FY26 and across the FYDP.
Collaborate with various Program Managers and requirements sponsors to analyze and address budgetary planning and execution plans and documentation.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in assessing budget and financial management practices and systems developing solutions and implementing business process improvements to align budget and accounting operations to strategic initiatives and objectives.
Perform analysis over budget execution and other financial data to help inform decision making and to identify areas for improvement to more seamlessly manage resources in alignment with organizational goals.
Support the development of presentations of data results and findings from data collection activities and evaluations as required
Apply knowledge of rules regulations policies and practices to ensure adherence and address concerns or problems by developing rapport with colleagues leadership officials and outside agency personnel
What You Will Need:
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
Bachelors degree
THREE (3) years of experience in financial management or project management/support
Familiarity with federal planning programing budgeting and execution (PPBE) to include POM development
What Would Be Nice To Have:
U.S. Army financial experience (prior service or consulting support)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A self-starter and problem-solving mentality which includes the ability to research budget and accounting practices and standards to help solve complex problems
Prior consulting experience
Demonstrated experience with effective communication skills (written and oral) especially with senior level clients and an array of stakeholders
