Job Summary
Are you looking for an opportunity to lead at the very cutting edge of elite sport medicineAs Edinburgh Rugbys Head Physiotherapist you will be the clinical heartbeat of our physiotherapy teamsetting the gold standard for player care driving evidence-based rehabilitation and partnering with Athletic Performance colleagues to keep our squad performing at its best.
If you are a driven experienced physiotherapist who thrives under pressure and wants to make a genuine impact on performance at the highest level this role is built for you.
What you will be doing:

Leading all pitch-side medical cover for training and match days direct emergency care and overseeing end-to-end rehabilitation using data-driven evidence-informed RTP protocols

Leading and supporting a team of three physiotherapists overseeing daily clinical operations performance and CPD pathways
-
Working closely with the Edinburgh Rugby Head of Athletic Performance to align rehabilitation goals and S&C programming
-
Implementing proactive injury risk reduction strategies throughout the seasonand ensuringall medical data is accurately recorded to support injury surveillance and a unified approach to player welfare across Scottish Rugby
What were looking for:

A Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC & CSP registered) with a postgraduate MSc in Sports Medicine ispreferred
-
Valid Advanced Level 3 Pitch-side Trauma Certification and experience working in an elite high-performance sport

Proven track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams with advanced clinical reasoning and expertise in manual therapy and exercise prescription
-
Someone who can make decisive evidence-informed calls under match day pressures
