Plant Maintenance Worker

Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking to hire a Plant Maintenance Worker for our Bantree Reclamation Facility. This position will require working Monday Friday from 6:00AM to 3:00PM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure daily start-up and shut-down checklists are completed.
• Safe and efficient centrifuge operation.
• Monitor hardness levels in the processing tank.
• Document and execute all plant maintenance safely and efficiently
• Anticipate and prevent facility downtime.
• Maintain good housekeeping in and around the facility.
• Identify document and eliminate potential risks and hazards.
• Daily boiler blowdowns/maintenance.
• Physically demanding at times involves lifting various objects
• Must be able to work alone and be self-motivated
• Basic understanding of pumping knowledge
• Perform snow removal in winter months

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of experience working in a plant maintenance role
• Valid Boiler Ticket preferred
• Plumbing experience would be an asset
• Good understanding of the plant operations
• Must be mechanically inclined

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working in tight awkward spaces bending crawling twisting
• Working at heights reaching climbing
• Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds
• Will be exposed to dirt dust odors noise and weather extremes
• May be required to work nights or weekends
