Job Summary | The Undeclared & Academic Advising Center (UAAC) is hiring for the role of Peer Partner to work as a Front Desk Student Assistant to support the Advising staff of the Undeclared & Academic Advising Center. The Peer Partner will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all guests contacting UAAC for information as well as providing logistical support in activities related to the operations of the office. Duties may include the following: Staff the front reception desk and maintain an organized and inviting welcome space. Answer incoming phone calls and provide directions to appropriate resources or staff as required. Check students in for appointments and drop-in hours in-person and online. Assist staff with events operations and communications. Provide support to UAAC Advisors and Advising Leadership to direct and guide students to appropriate resources. Other duties as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications | Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. |
Required Qualifications | - Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated) or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic notice continued notice academic disqualification).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
