Middle School English-Language Arts Teacher

Currey Ingram Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Middle School English-Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the school year. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator with a strong background in all components of structured literacy and/or Special Education and a commitment to helping students grow as confident and capable learners.

This full-time position includes teaching ELA for grades 58 which includes explicit instruction in active reading strategies vocabulary word recognition written expression grammar and spelling / morphology. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for differentiating instruction and fostering a collaborative student-centered classroom addition candidates should be eager to work with colleagues to design and implement evidence-based instructional practices provide individualized academic support and contribute to the broader school community through advisory extracurricular involvement and/or committee work.

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Reading English and/or Special Education.

• Preference given to candidates with experience supporting students with learning differences structured literacy and evidence-based reading and writing intervention and SRSD (Self-Regulated Strategy Development) for writing.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with classroom technology and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
