This role is part of Alcons Engineering function a team focused on improving quality processes products packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.
The Supervisor Electromechanical Technical Support (Management Path) is responsible for leading and developing a team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians in the design maintenance and continuous improvement of electromechanical systems. This role provides hands-on leadership and technical direction on the production floor while partnering with production engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe efficient and compliant operations. The supervisor plays a critical role in driving reliability equipment performance and a culture of excellence and accountability.
Specifics Include:
Lead coach and develop Electro-Mechanical Technicians to support equipment reliability and operational performance
Oversee the design installation operation maintenance calibration and upgrade of electromechanical systems and facility infrastructure
Troubleshoot test assemble rework repair and modify electromechanical assemblies and non-conforming equipment
Partner with engineers to develop implement and validate technical solutions that enhance device performance and equipment reliability
Inspect and maintain equipment using diagnostic tools software and CMMS; utilize CAD software to support proposed solutions
Manage daily task execution workflow and shift coverage to meet production and maintenance priorities
Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and ensure CMMS compliance across the shift
Make real-time operational decisions including equipment shutdowns and personnel reassignments to manage risk and ensure business continuity
Collaborate closely with production teams to communicate equipment status resolve issues and align corrective actions
Identify and lead improvement initiatives targeting quality yield uptime safety and cost
Provide feedback on spare parts usage rebuild outcomes and inventory needs to ensure adequate critical spares availability
Partner with vendors and suppliers to support equipment upgrades quick-change parts and sustainable technical solutions
Provide technical guidance and solutions to production managers for day-to-day operational challenges
Support engineering studies validations and continuous improvement projects through technical expertise and data-driven input
Ensure strict adherence to GxP regulations by following SOPs maintaining accurate documentation completing required training and upholding quality standards
Foster a positive work environment through effective performance management employee engagement and recognition
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 10 yrs; Assoc.16yrs; M.S.0 yrs)
The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in fully automated or high-volume manufacturing environments
Strong electrical mechanical and controls troubleshooting skills
