Job Summary
Material Handler
Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping receiving inspecting storing issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplies which may require lifting of heavy objects. Activities are procedural and well-defined requiring limited decision-making.
Essential job functions:
- Assists in Inventory Control.
- Distribute or deliver items to appropriate departments.
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of record keeping practices and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of safety practices.
- Skill in operating automotive materials handling and office equipment.
- Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
- Skill in following both verbal and written instructions.
Performance Standards:
- Material delivered timely to production departments.
- Inventory part & pieces accurate control.
- The ability to communicate effectively with and work with other personnel.
