A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr (Aircrew Pilot (Any)) to serve as SO2b ACP at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 05 October 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

SO2b ACP is to focus on all areas related to Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACP) and Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) within the Air Domain both synthetic and airborne. This is a relatively new desk role and will require close liaison with MSHQ Front Line Commands (FLC) NADG and our industry partners.

a. On behalf of SO1 ACP you are responsible for CCA specific operational analysis (OA). Ensure OA is continuously reviewed. OA should be held against the Defence Scenario Book and must cover the four pillars of air power. The OA is to be collated and recorded within ACP FD IM.

b. Ensure compatibility and coherence of ACP and CCA requirements is aligned with the annual Capability Audit the biannual Capability Management Group (CMG) and the respective Air Cap Futures led Capability Planning Groups (CPG).

c. Act as Deputy Secretary for the ACP CPG and support the Air CMG byprovidingSME advice on current capabilities deltasrisksand opportunities.

d. Act asDeputy Secretary for the quarterly 2* ACP Capability Governance Board.

e. Ensure coherence with 11 Gp with regards to current and future capability requirements and maintain awareness of planning activity such as Transition to Conflict and Agile Combat Employment.

f. Engage pan-defence to promote understanding and allow horizon scanning of potential future ACP and CCA requirements and solutions.

g. Contribute to the delivery of capability investigations audits & research programmes. Enter update and maintain the Air ACP serials in the Defence Capability Assessment Register (DCAR).

h. Manage DLOD and cross-cap area dependencies including attending other associated Air Land and RN Environment CPGs in order to ensure coherent delivery of the ACP capability.
