Job Summary

The Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and phone-based assessment intervention and support for individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies including adults children and adolescents. As part of a multidisciplinary crisis team this role conducts evaluations coordinates care engages support systems and connects clients with appropriate community resources.

This full-time position requires the ability to work in high-stress fast-paced environments maintain safety protocols complete clinical documentation and collaborate with internal teams and external resources. A valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally are required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The position requires an individual to have one of the following:

  • A Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology Rehabilitation Activity Therapies Counseling Education or related fields and 3 years of Mental Health direct care experience.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Sociology Social Work Psychology Gerontology Anthropology Political Science History Criminal Justice Theology Counseling Education or a related field or be a Registered Nurse and 5 years of Mental Health direct care experience 2 of which shall include supervisory experience.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Nursing and 3 years of Mental Health direct care experience.
  • A Registered Nurse license certified in Psychology or Psychiatry.
  • Valid PA Drivers License

Must possess a working knowledge of the philosophy concepts mandates and operations of community health services and other human services agencies. they must have a knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques and be proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.

Salary:

  • $33000 experience per year (Bachelors Level)
  • $39000 experience per year (Masters Level)
