The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety comfort and adherence to radiation protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered
Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality images
Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment
Follow strict radiation safety and protection protocols
Review images for clarity accuracy and diagnostic value
Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation
Assist physicians and radiologists during procedures
Educate patients and ensure comfort during imaging exams
Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of Radiology Tech experience
Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and equipment
Preferred
Hospital experience preferred
Travel experience (preferred not required)
Education
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Certifications & Licensure
Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
