Position Description

MMD Shops is a retail chain of dispensaries throughout southern have an outstanding reputation for quality of products and customer are proud to have been part of the first wave of legal cannabis in California and we continue to grow our holdings in a thriving recreational market. We are looking for an Inventory Lead to join our fun collaborative team oriented and fast paced working environment. Located in North Hollywood CA.

Position Overview:The Inventory Lead is responsible for the ordering receiving set up and maintenance of accurate inventory counts of all incoming conjunction with the Director of Purchasing this role will plan purchasing and procurement of merchandise to maximize efficiencies drive revenue and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory is a management position so we are looking for a detail oriented self starter who would like to grow in the Cannabis is a full time position Monday Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare orders each week within budget by category for GM and Director of Purchasing to review.

Schedule and receive daily deliveries set up product in POS system and ensure inventory accuracy via METRC.

Ensure all receiving labeling and storage policies are being followed.

Maintain target stock levels and SKU count by category with approved vendors.

Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations stock levels and adjustments.

Evaluate new inventory to ensure it is prepped and ready to be placed on sales floor.

Perform total store inventory at the end of each month.

Create action plans to address losswhile ensuring all loss prevention policies are being followed.

Analyze product sales and suggestions on assortments based on store specific sales data.

Merchandising and stocking of sales floor.

General understanding of Excel and using spreadsheets ie: basic formulas sorting formatting etc.

General Responsibilities:

Greet all customers in a professional friendly manner.

Ensure the store is well maintained stocked and clean at all times.

Treat co-workers with respect and look for opportunities to help others without being asked.

Lead by example with a positive attitude and great work ethic.

Possess adequate product knowledge to assist customers in making purchasing decisions.

Strong attention to detail organized and self-motivated.

Show up to work on time in appropriate attire and compliant with appearance policies.

Physical Requirements:

Must be vaccinated for COVID

Ability to communicate orally with customers vendors management and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential.

The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage office equipment computers etc.) is required.

Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment including under tables and desks.

Occasional heavy lifting (40 lbs.) may be expected during inventory counts. Otherwise occasional exertion of 15-20 lbs. of force is normal.

Education Experience and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelors Degree preferred but equivalent experience and education will be considered

General knowledge of Cannabis products and terms preferred.
