Job Title: Registered Nurse Wound Care
Department: Wound Care / Nutrition Services
Location: Apple Valley California
Shift: Day Shift 3x12 Hours (11:00 23:30)
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse to join an acute care hospital team. This role focuses on comprehensive wound assessment treatment planning and coordination of care for patients with complex wound needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess treat and manage acute and chronic wounds
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient healing outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic medical records
- Educate patients and staff on wound care best practices
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and infection control standards
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state required)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- Wound care certification required (WCON or equivalent)
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong clinical skills in wound assessment and treatment
- Epic experience strongly preferred
