Job Summary

Summary of Duties:

Construction and repair of cabinets and furniture;
Construction of studs and drywall;
Installation of acoustic T-Bar ceilings;
Installation and repair of all types of hardware;
Carry out repairs to floors corlon and vinyl tiles etc;
Prepare and lay out own material;
Carry out other carpentry duties as assigned;
Coverage at other campuses as required

Qualifications/Skills:

Secondary school completion and completion of a recognized Trade and Apprenticeship program;
Must have valid Province of Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry;
Significant recent related experience as a carpenter required ideally in a hospital/healthcare setting;
Locksmith qualifications and skills are desirable
Maintenance experience essential;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Blueprint reading an asset;
Ability to work on own initiative.
