Laboratory Technician Leading Hand | Granville

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedLaboratory Technician -Leading Hand to join our Concrete Technical team in Sydney.

This is a handson role responsible for supporting the daytoday operations of our laboratory ensuring high standards in testing safety and quality while guiding and supporting a small team of Laboratory Technicians.This fulltime position is based at our Granville Laboratory.

In your new role with us you will:

• Lead mentor and support Laboratory Technicians in daily laboratory testing activities

• Perform concrete and raw material testing in accordance with relevant Australian Standards

• Ensure compliance with Safety Quality and NATA requirements

• Assist with equipment calibration maintenance and housekeeping of the laboratory

• Review results for accuracy timeliness and technical compliance

• Liaise with plant operations field testing teams and technical stakeholders

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory processes

• Act as a point of escalation for technical and operational matters within the lab

This role is a great fit for you if you:

• Proven experience in concrete and/or materials testing (laboratory and/or field)

• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 1012 AS 1379 preferred)

• Previous experience leading supervising or acting as a senior technician

• A strong commitment to safety quality and risk awareness

• High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support others

• A proactive approach and a willingness to take ownership of outcomes

• Are physically fit

Preferred but not essential:

• Qualifications in Testing Operations and/or Laboratory Techniques

• Knowledge of RMS specifications and NATA accreditation requirements

• Experience using laboratory systems such as Qest Lab
