This role is part of Alcons Finance Accounting & Audit function a team that advances Alcons financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry.
The Sr. Associate Accounting & Reporting will support the US Revenue team by ensuring accurate financial reporting and execution of revenue-related accounting activities. This role focuses on rebates discounts and revenue recognition processes working closely with Accounts Receivable and cross-functional stakeholders. The position requires a strong accounting foundation a process-oriented mindset and the ability to operate independently while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end close activities including journal entries accruals and reconciliations related to revenue
- Manage accounting processes forrebates discounts and revenue transactions
- Partner withAccounts Receivable and US-based stakeholdersto ensure accurate reporting
- Perform variance analysis and identify discrepancies proposing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance withIFRS/US GAAP and internal controls
- Support internal and external audits
- Identify and implementprocess improvements and automation opportunities
- Take full ownership of assigned processes and deliverables
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 35 years of experience inR2R General Ledger or Revenue Accounting
- Experience withrebates discounts or revenue-related processesis preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or US GAAP)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables data analysis)
- Experience withSAP or similar ERP systems
- Exposure toBI tools (Power BI Tableau)is a plus
- Experience inpharma or regulated industriesis a plus
- AdvancedEnglish proficiency
