Time Commitment:

• Four days a week
• Ten to fifteen hours a week
• Two races a week
• 9/14/2026 10/30/2026

SUMMARY:

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding cross-country coach for the middle school team for the 2025-2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence equity and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning all areas of their team.
• Leading and assisting their coaching staff in coordinating efforts under one program goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
• Analyze game strategy.
• Implementation of skill development.
• Coverage on bus trips.
• Video analysis of games.
• Statistical analysis of games.
• Attend all league and local district and state meetings when necessary.
• Reaching out to local Youth Groups to promote their respective sport in town.
• Planning award ceremonies and individual award winners.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• CPR certified.
• NFHS concussion course completed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience coaching cross-country
• Strong communication and leadership skills
