Database Engineer IV

Peraton is seeking a highly motivatedDatabase Engineer IVto partner with stakeholders and collaborate with mission owners to build efficient reliable and scalable database solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in database engineering data visualization and programming tools to develop and support mission-aligned initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build manage and optimize robust database systems to support high-priority mission needs.
• Design and maintain data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve database performance and schema design.
• Leverage Apache Hadoop SAS and Tableau in data analytics and engineering efforts.
• Maintain and enhance databases for real-time analytics and visualizations using tools such as Tableau Kibana PowerBI and Grafana.
• Develop tools and applications with programming languages like Python R C and SQL.
• Ensure data integrity compliance and adherence to Peraton policies and standards.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in an area relevant to the position with 8 years of relevant experience or Masters degree in an area relevant to the position with 6 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• ActiveTS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
• Security or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active (DoD 8570 compliance)
• Experience with database management and analytics platforms including SQL and cloud platforms.
• Advanced programming knowledge and expertise in tools like Apache and Hadoop.
• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau PowerBI or Kibana.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working in government contracting especially in database development for federal agencies.
• Familiarity with NRO data management or Authorization to Operate Processes (ATO).
