Our Biodiversity and Heritage Regulator team is seeking a Program Support Officer to provide highquality project program and reporting support to the Strategy Risk and Performance function. This role supports effective governance risk management and performance reporting within a regulatory environment and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes.

In this role you will provide program and project support to ensure strategy risk and performance initiatives are well organised accurate and delivered to required standards. You will assist with data collection and reporting maintain records databases and registers and prepare routine correspondence reports and meeting papers. The role also involves coordinating meetings workshops and stakeholder engagement activities supporting continuous improvement initiatives and working closely with stakeholders across the Department to support transparent decisionmaking and regulatory performance.

About You

You are an organised and detailoriented professional with experience providing project or program support in a government or regulatory environment. You are comfortable working across multiple priorities and deadlines and you bring strong administrative capability to support projects reporting and governance processes. You have sound written and verbal communication skills and can prepare accurate documentation that supports clear and timely decisionmaking.

Collaborative and proactive you enjoy working as part of a team and building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders. You are confident using information systems databases and MS Office tools to manage records reporting and workflows. With a developing understanding of regulatory strategy risk management and performance frameworks you are keen to learn contribute to continuous improvement and support the effective delivery of regulatory outcomes.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Experience in providing project support in a government or regulatory environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using information systems databases and MS Office tools to manage documents records and reporting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Foundational knowledge of regulatory strategy risk management and performance frameworks.
