Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The networks school in Aurora CO Academy of Advanced Learning is seeking a DYAD Media Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
Third Future Schools will provide student elective access through DYAD Electives a specialized experiential learning model for students. This model is designed to build critical thinking communication creativity and other essential 21st-century skills through hands-on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective-style courses that may include technology fitness arts and other enrichment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging structured and experience-based instruction in media
- Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach
- Independently plan lead and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
- Create a safe orderly and productive learning environment
- Actively teach monitor and engage students throughout the class period
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
- Ensure students are participating in meaningful hands-on learning experiences
- Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
- Be prepared consistent and dependable in daily instruction
- Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences
- Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
- Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through media showcases presentations displays screenings or other demonstrations of learning
Qualifications
- Skill knowledge and first-hand experience in media communications digital content broadcasting or a related field
- Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
- Strong communication organization and classroom leadership skills
- Ability to provide structured engaging and experience-based learning
- Commitment to professionalism consistency and student engagement
Compensation
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
