We are seeking a skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support dental procedures and provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in restorative dentistry strong technical skills and the ability to assist efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Place and finish dental restorations (fillings) after dentist preparation
Take accurate impressions for crowns bridges and diagnostic models
Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges
Perform coronal polishing fluoride treatments and apply sealants
Assist during restorative prosthodontic and endodontic procedures
Take and process dental radiographs
Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
Provide post-treatment instructions to patients
Accurately document treatment notes and patient records
Monitor inventory and assist with supply management
Support front office operations patient flow and case coordination as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
12 years of dental assisting experience required
Strong knowledge of restorative dental procedures and materials
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Certifications & Licensure:
EFDA Certification (required as per state guidelines)
X-Ray Certification required
CPR Certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior EFDA experience in a clinical setting
Strong communication and patient care skills
