Job Summary

Summary:The Cybersecurity/IT Support Technician is a shared service supporting both cybersecurity and enterprise-wide IT this role you will provide hands-on IT support and be responsible for maintaining and securing end-user network systems as well as ensuring the security of isolated mission-critical networks. You will serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for these networks requiring practical skills in troubleshooting system diagram creation and adherence to government guidelines. This position requires 3 years of hands-on IT experience including break/fix troubleshooting and a DoD security and Responsibilities: IT Support Technician:Provide hands-on break/fix support in a Microsoft Server and workstation environment for preventative maintenance and monitoring of hardware (desktops laptops tablets AV equipment and peripherals) and software ensuring timely updates and manufacturing applications (e.g. CATIA v.5 ENOVIA Verisurf Mastercam).Troubleshoot and resolve printer/copier issues coordinating with vendors as and document support tickets accurately and efficiently tracking issues and user accounts including password resets group memberships and file share the security and integrity of user environments at both corporate and remote ongoing end-user support across the organization ensuring all employees have access to the IT resources they in compliance with company IT policies and handle any identified risks that could impact business comprehensive IT documentation including installation notes and troubleshooting with the Corporate IT team on enterprise-wide projects and additional duties as directed by Systems Security Officer:Serve as the designated ISSO for isolated mission-critical networks ensuring they remain secure and in the development implementation and enforcement of security policies that safeguard sensitive data and and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) processes and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) risk assessments vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security and respond to security incidents coordinating efforts with incident response update and deliver cybersecurity training to end users covering critical security topics and best compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g. NIST GDPR) and government guidelines for information and maintain system diagrams to document network architecture and security other duties as and Work Experience:A bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field is preferred.3 years of hands-one experience as an IT Support Technician Cybersecurity or IT Security experience managing Windows environments including system administration patching and break/fix knowledge of network security principles protocols and best serving as an ISSO or performing similar responsibilities in a secure or regulated IT environment. Practical experience creating system/network diagrams and ensuring compliance with governmental security guidelines (e.g. NIST).Familiarity with security frameworks risk management processes and incident response certifications are required such as Security CISSP GIAC or CCNA Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:This position requires a government Secret security Skills and Abilities:List of needed knowledge skills and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the hands-on technical skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset particularly in break/fix to manage multiple priorities multitask effectively and adapt to high-volume fast-paced and rapidly changing in creating and maintaining complex technical documentation (e.g. system diagrams installation notes troubleshooting guides).Clear and effective communicator both written and verbal with a focus on delivering excellent customer responsibility motivation and sound judgment in decision-making based on policies and organizational confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion and effectively with colleagues and contractors building trust and contributing to a positive inclusive work Conditions:Environment Type:Indoor.
