Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Training:Directs day-to-day crew operations provides training and mentoring and enforces company safety regulations.
- Grounds Maintenance:Performs and oversees specialized tasks including mowing pruning irrigation repair tree care fertilization and snow removal.
- Equipment Management:Ensures proper operation maintenance and safety of tools vehicles and machinery.
- Quality Control:Inspects completed work to ensure it meets established landscaping standards.
- Administrative Tasks:Keeps records of materials used and work orders
- Client Communication:Communicates with admin stakeholders or superiors regarding project progress.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance with leadership experience often required.
- Skills:Strong knowledge of horticultural practices plant identification and pest management.
- Licensing:Often requires a valid drivers license and sometimes specialized certifications (e.g. pesticide applicator).
- Physical Ability:Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
- Operational Skills:Proficient in operating repairing and maintaining professional landscaping tools and equipment.
Typical Physical Demands
- Regular lifting of 15-45 pounds with occasional heavier lifting.
- Frequent walking bending stooping kneeling and working in uncomfortable positions.
