Were Looking For:

Licensure or Certifications

  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices and
  • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees:

  • MA: GED or HS Equivalency Diploma. Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
  • LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing

As aMedical Assistantor Licensed Practical Nurse youll play a vital roleinthe care team supporting providers connecting with patients and helping ensure a seamless compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team you will:

  • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
  • Take and record vital signs medical histories and health screenings.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Partner with physicians nurses and teammates to deliver high-quality coordinated care.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 07:00 AM-6:00 PM (flex hours depending on clinic need)

We provide comprehensive preventive care such as annual physical exams and vaccinations. Were also well trained in the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and chronic diseases and can refer you to specialists if needed.

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85 - $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications skills relevant experience and/or training and internal equity.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to sit stand walk lift squat bend reach above shoulders and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have functional speech vision hearing and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation if needed.
  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
  • Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must sit stand walk lift squat bend twist crawl kneel climb and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds or when patient is unable to assist with lift patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other team member when available.
  • Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case- by -case basis.
  • Must have functional speech vision hearing and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
  • Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical electrical chemical blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
