Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently across multiple environments including emergency and operating rooms while ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and technique selection
Operate radiographic equipment and ensure radiation safety using appropriate shielding and collimation
Conduct portable X-ray exams in patient rooms emergency departments and operating rooms
Assist physicians with contrast studies and radiographic procedures
Prepare and process imaging studies and maintain accurate documentation
Support patient mobility positioning and comfort during procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging areas
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling record-keeping and patient coordination
Adapt care delivery to meet diverse patient needs including pediatric and trauma populations
Schedule:
3x12-hour shifts (08:00 AM 08:30 PM)
Every 3rd weekend required
Holidays and on-call coverage as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification required
Active New Jersey Radiology license required (must be in hand; no pending licenses accepted)
Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
Must be able to work independently in emergency and trauma environments
Experience with operating room procedures required
Experience with portable imaging and pediatric patients required
